Promoting Creative Writing in Scotland

POEMS IN THE RAW   SUNDAY 3RD OCTOBER 2010   Read Raw Ltd is running an event during Glasgow Poetry Week, which is taking place in October 2010.   Our event is called "Poetry in the Raw" and will be taking place at   Cafe Hula   321 Hope Street Glasgow G2 3PT   on Sunday 3rd October from 7.30pm to 10pm,   During the evening we will be running a poetry competition, open to all registering on the night, with participating poets to be registered by 7.45pm, and the event kicking off at 8pm, with plenty of breaks to stock up on food and drink.   Poets should bring no more than 2 poems, which should not be greater than 40 lines each. The prize for best poem/performance will be a £30 gift voucher from the Books in the West http://booksinthewest.com bookshop.   Looking forward to seeing you there. ----------------------------   Robert Tannahill     2010 sees the bi-centenary of the death of Robert Tannahill  (1774 - 1810).   We have added some additional pages to the site devoted to Tannahill and his work, click on his image to go to these pages.   Read Raw, having strong Paisley links were involved in promoting a number events to celebrate Tannahill's bi-centenary.
